West Auckland Police are searching an area of bush in the vicinity of Titirangi Beach in renewed efforts to locate a 39 year old female who went missing earlier this month.
Police say the last confirmed sighting of Belinda Michelle WILSON of Titirangi was near her Mahoe Road home on Wednesday 2 January 2008.
She was reported missing on 4 January 2008 by her mother.
Her bank accounts remain untouched and police are very concerned for her whereabouts and safety.
Belinda WILSON has a history of minor mental health issues.
Six teams of search and rescue personnel are in the area covering a wide sector of dense bush and scrub. They began searching early at 7.30am this morning and will continue until late afternoon.
Search Controller Sergeant Dene Duthie says there are 40 persons involved. They include Police, Air Force and civilians.
"We're looking for any leads that will assist us to locate the whereabouts of this missing woman. She regularly walked in this bush. The search is not prompted by any new information." he said.

Atkinson Park
War Memorial Reserve - behind Titirangi shopping centre
South Titirangi Road
Rangiwai Road
Tanekaha Road
Valley Road
"The overall search area covers a 3-4 kilometres radius."
Belinda WILSON is described as
Female - Caucasian
She is 1.77m tall,
Medium to solid build
Pale complexion - often wears heavy makeup.
Clothing is unknown - but when last seen was wearing a pale pink top, long black dress with a large rip in the back.
She regularly wears a wide rimmed sun visor and always has a black trundler carry bag on wheels with her.
