An 18-year-old women involved in yesterday's chase from Ngongotaha to Waihi that culminated in a man brandishing a gun at Police being shot is appearing in the Tauranga District Court today in relation to these matters.
The woman is alleged to have been driving a van stolen from a semi-rural property during a burglary in Ngongotaha about 12.30pm.
Charged with burglary, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, driving while forbidden, dangerous driving and failing to stop the woman also had existing warrants.
At this stage her name has not been released as Police are not aware if she has applied for name suppression.
