Suspicious death delivered to hospital doors

Auckland City Police are investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified man who was delivered to the Auckland Hospital Accident and Emergency ward at 12.10am this morning.

He was driven there by a man who, once hospital staff had removed the body from the car, drove off.

A post-mortem examination got underway at 10am and investigators have cordoned off an area around the Accident and Emergency ward which will undergo a scene examination today.

Police are following some lines of inquiry regarding the identity of the driver of the car and urge him to contact Auckland Central CIB.
