Unique NZ Police Recruitment Initiative Commences on Monday

1 min read

NZ Police begins its Te Haerenga recruitment roadshow this Monday with a show in Whangarei at 6pm.

Te Haerenga will feature Maori NZ Police staff performing in a range of art forms, sharing their work experiences, and chatting to attendees who may be interested in policing as a career.

It'll be a unique opportunity for people to see another side of NZ Police and to understand what it would be like to work for the organisation.

Superintendent Wally Haumaha says he is confident the tour will be well supported.

"Various iwi groups have already expressed their support for the initiative and the hope to see more Maori police officers working with their communities" he said.

Te Haerenga weaves its way through 12 NZ locations over the next few weeks - check newcops.co.nz to find out when it's in an area near you.
