Searching for parents of girl

Hamilton Police are urgently seeking the mother or relatives of a young girl found alone by a member of the public at shops on Holland Rd shortly after 10am today.

The young girl is part Maori, with light brown skin, about 90cm tall with light brown/ blond hair down past her shoulders.

She is wearing a pink frilly calf length skirt and a white and purple T-shirt with 'I love my Nana' on the front with a love heart.

The little girl also has a small cut on the right side of her forehead.

The girl, estimated to be aged between 2-3-years-old has told Police her name is 'Teno' or possibly 'Tenore' and she has an older sister 'Tea'.

The woman who found the young girl said she stayed with her for about 30 minutes before bringing the child to the Hamilton Police Station.
