1 min read

North Shore Police say media publicity was directly responsible

for a 35 year old male fugitive being arrested by Wanganui Police.

Police issued a national alert for the whereabouts of Colin Carl

VENIMORE on Saturday and a manhunt has been in progress to locate him. Wide Media coverage has been given to manhunt.

North Shore Police Commander Inspector Les Paterson says that

VENIMORE has been arrested by Wanganui Police. He is in custody

and is expected to appear in North Shore District Court next week on family violence charges.

"The media greatly assisted police in their search for this wanted man. He will be escorted back to the North Shore for his court appearance," Inspector Paterson said.
