The Serious Crash Unit is investigating an incident on the North Shore in which a female pedestrian has died after being struck by a bus.
The incident happened at about 8.00am this morning Thursday 8 May 2008.
The circumstances surrounding the incident will continue to be investigated by police throughout the day.
Normal traffic flows have resumed on the sector of Wairau Road, Takapuna, close to Westlake Girls High School, where the incident occurred.
The deceased is a middle aged female. Her name has not been released as next of kin have yet to be informed.
Further details surrounding this incident will be released when the Serious Crash Unit fully complete the necessary phases of their investigation.
