Concerns for missing woman

Wellington Police have concerns for the well-being of a 53 year old woman who has been missing from Karori since Monday morning.

Mary Walker was last seen leaving the Cathie St address where she was staying at around 9.15am, and has not been seen since. She had only recently returned home from an extended holiday in England.

Family members describe her as fit, but have concerns for her wellbeing. She is thought to have taken a significant amount of recently-prescribed anti-anxiety medication.

Mrs Walker is European, about 165cm tall and of medium build. She has short-cropped graying hair, and is possibly wearing glasses.

She was last seen wearing a blue polar fleece top and dark trackpants, with black cross-trainers. She did not appear to have a rain jacket or bag with her.

She is familiar with the Skyline walkway and tracks in the area. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen her or who has information regarding her whereabouts to call Wellington Police on 381 2000
