Massey Man Missing From His West Auckland Home

Henderson Police are appealing to the public for any sightings of a man who is reported missing from his home in the West Auckland suburb of Massey.

Brian Stanley JONES aged 69 years was last sighted by a friend walking from his home address in Don Buck Road, Massey at about 3.25pm yesterday, Monday 25 August 2008.

Police say efforts to locate Mr Jones have so far been unsuccessful. Enquiries have been made with friends and relatives. The Police Search and Rescue team, and the Eagle helicopter has been involved in a grid search for him today.

A description of the missing man has been released by Police.

European - male

Aged 69 years

Height 173 cm tall

Thin build - dark grey hair on top, lighter grey on sides

Clothing - last seen wearing a red cardigan, black tee-shirt, black woollen pants - has no shoes - is in bare feet - he suffers from ill health.

Police are concerned for the safety and well being of Mr Jones. He has previously gone missing and has been known to go walking in the Henderson Massey and Kumeu localities. On these occasions he has kept to main streets.
