On Wednesday 17 September in the early hours of the morning, between 3.30am and 4am a male was attacked and robbed on the New Brighton Pier, Christchurch.

The 28 year old male had gone for a walk and approached two males on the Pier to talk to them. They attacked and assaulted him and stole his bag which contained cash and cards.

The offenders are described as both male Caucasians, one aged in his thirties who was bald with red facial hair. The other male was younger, in his twenties, with a shaven head. They were both wearing jeans and a t shirt.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and head and a suspected broken nose.
