1 min read

Wellington Police want public help to find Craig Osborne Wallace, aged 52, who has been missing since Sunday, 1 March 2009.

Detective Sergeant Damian Murphy, Wellington CIB, said Mr Wallace's family and friends are worried about the self employed IT consultant who was last seen in the Chaffer's Marina area, Wellington, on Sunday 1st March 2009.

As a result of a previous media appeal, two members of the public have contacted police about two separate sightings of a man fitting the description of Mr Wallace, who was seen walking in the Butterfly Creek area of Wainuiomata. One of the witnesses said the man was carrying a blue, red and white nylon bag (photograph of similar bag attached).

Mr Wallace grew up in the Wainuiomata area and enjoyed walking the tracks and bush in the Butterfly Creek area.

Mr Wallace is 5ft 8in tall, thinly built, with a grey short beard and glasses. He normally wears a greenstone fish hook pendant around his neck. He was last seen wearing a waterproof red sailing type jacket (photograph of Mr Wallace in the red jacket attached).

If you've seen Mr Wallace or know where he is, please contact Wellington Police CIB on 0800 TIPOFF (0800 847 633) or the Wellington Central Police Station on 04 381 2000.
