Body Discovered In Glenfield

North Shore Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body has been discovered at an address in Glenfield.

Police went to an industrial sector in View Road at about 1.35pm today Monday 11 May 2009, after reports that a man had been assaulted.

Attending medics were unable to revive him.

The area has been cordoned off and will remain in place overnight.

Forensic staff, police photographers and investigators are carrying out a scene examination and talking to all persons who work in the area.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out tomorrow.

Anyone who has been in the vicinity of View Road this afternoon and seen any suspicious activity is asked to contact the North Shore Policing Centre on 09 477 5000 - [repeat 09 477 5000]

Police will make no further comment on this enquiry until tomorrow.
