Hamilton man appearing in court on a variety of drugs charges

1 min read

A variety of drugs and large sums of cash were among items recovered by Police during a raid at a Hamilton property believed to be at the centre of a methamphetamine operation yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Carl Moon of the Hamilton Law Enforcement Team said a 32-year-old man will appear in the City's District Court this morning facing drugs charges.

"These charges result from the discovery of quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and fantasy at the address and it is alleged this man had these drugs for supply.

"Some very large denominations of cash were also recovered in circumstances that would indicate they were from the proceeds of drug dealing," said Mr Moon.

Forensic analysis is still being carried out on additional material found at the property.

An expectant mother from the home who was helping Police with their inquiries was not arrested, she declined an offered medical check-up for her and her baby.
