Aggravated Robbery

At about 1.30am 27th March 2016, four people armed with weapons entered a house at rural property in Springston, Canterbury.

There, they have held the occupants for a period of time before taking items from the address including a vehicle.

Police have arrived as the offenders have been leaving the address and the two vehicles fled in different directions.

Both vehicles were pursued.

One pursuit came to an end in a dead end street in Rolleston where both occupants ran from the vehicle.  A Police Dog deployed and located both occupants.

The other pursuit ended in a rural property in the Dunsandel area with both occupants being apprehended.

One of the occupants of the Springston address received minor injuries during the incident, but did not require medical treatment.

Four people are now in Police custody and will appear in the Christchurch District Court on Monday 28th March 2016, on a variety of charges.

No further people are sought in relation to this incident.
