Aggravated robbery in Timaru

Timaru Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at the Park Night n Day Dairy, on the corner of King Street and Queen Street in Timaru, which happened on Sunday night.

“Someone entered the dairy just before closing, at about 10.55pm, threatened staff with a knife and demanded cigarettes," says Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested. "They were wearing a balaclava, black jacket, black shoes and black pants, and they had a brown and black backpack on the front of their chest.”

They ran east on Queen Street after the robbery and have not been found.
