Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash on State Highway 3 earlier today at Tanehopuwai, between Te Kuiti and Piopio.
One person died and two others suffered serious and moderate injuries in the crash, which happened between 5am and 5.30am on Saturday 4 June 2016.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who was in the area around that time and saw any driving of concern.
