A woman has been arrested after assaulting another woman at the Thirsty Whale pub, Ahuriri, Napier this morning.
The 19 year-old female was assaulted in the face with a glass by a 25 year-old female.
The victim required medical treatment to serious lacerations to her face.
The 25 year-old female was located and arrested a short distance away from the Thirsty Whale. She is to appear in the Napier District Court next week.
Police are appealing to patrons of the Thirsty Whale who witnessed the assault to contact them on 06 873 0500 oranonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
