Counties Manukau Police have arrested a 52 year old Papakura man in relation to the aggravated robbery of the Quan Am Monastery in Bombay which occurred on Friday 16 August.

The arrest has come about as a result of public assistance after the case appeared on Police 10/7 in September.

The man will appear in the Papakura District Court on 17 October charged with aggravated robbery.

Police are following lines of enquiry to identify the other two men who were seen on the CCTV footage inside the Monastery but would like to hear from anyone else who knows anything about the case.

Investigators working on the case are pleased with the arrest and would like to thank the public for their assistance.  They hope to be able to close the case soon with the arrest of the two remaining offenders.

Anyone who has information that may relate to this case, no matter how small, should come forward to Police.  You can call Papakura CIB on 09 261 1300 or submit information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
