Police have arrested one person in relation to the serious assault of a man on Collingwood Street, Hamilton last Friday morning.
On Saturday Police arrested a 21-year-old male in relation to this incident.
He appeared in the Hamilton District Court on Monday charged with wounding with intent to cause GBH.
He has since been remanded into custody and will appear in court again on September 4.
The victim has been discharged from Waikato Hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the matter.
