Arrests after fire in Dunedin

Police have today arrested three males following a fire in Dunedin last night.

Officers were called to Montpellier Street around 10:15pm where a vacant building had been set on fire.

Four people left the scene in a vehicle and crashed into a stationary taxi. They then fled the vehicle on foot.

One male was taken into custody last night, while Police conducted inquiries to locate the three others. They were located and arrested today.

The four are all in their late teens, and are due in Dunedin District Court on November 2 on arson-related charges. One is also facing a driving-related charge.
