Arrests following Christchurch aggravated robberies

Police have arrested and charged three men following six aggravated robberies and two burglaries in Christchurch in the last month.

The robberies took place at Fresh Choice Edgeware, Burger King Shirley, Countdown Northlands, Z Energy Carlton Corner, Kiwibank/Postshop Tower Junction, and Liquorland Fitzgerald Ave.

The two burglaries took place at residential addresses in Ranfurly Street.

The men, aged 18, 35 and 38, first appeared in Christchurch District Court on Saturday on a variety of charges including aggravated robbery and burglary and were remanded in custody. They are due to reappear tomorrow.
