Canterbury Police charge man with two burglaries

Canterbury Police have recovered a number of items of interest at a residential address yesterday (10 June 2015) as part of an ongoing investigation into reports of female underwear being stolen off washing lines in Elizabeth St, Matapo St and Wainui St in Riccarton.

A 44 year old man has been charged with two counts of burglary and has been bailed to appear in Christchurch District court 17 June 2015.

Police investigations are continuing.

Canterbury Police are appealing for anyone in that area who may have had female underwear stolen from their clothesline or had items taken from their property and haven’t reported to contact Police by calling 03 363 7400, option 5.
