Canterbury Police investigating aggravated robbery

Canterbury Police are seeking information from the public following an aggravated robbery in New Brighton this morning.

A bus driver has been robbed while they were parked on Broadhaven Avenue after 10am this morning.

Police are seeking two men in relation to the incident. The first is described as being of Maori or Pacific Island decent, 5’10” in height, of solid build and aged 19-20 years old with dark hair. At the time the male was wearing a black and white hoodie, dark pants and gloves. 

The second person of interest is a 17-year –old male of Pacific Island decent. He is 5’9” in height and of medium build with dark hair and was wearing a black hoodie and pants at the time.

Anyone with information about the incident or who noticed any suspicious behaviour in the area of Broadhaven Avenue and Bower Avenue, New Brighton this morning is asked to call Canterbury Police on 03 363 7400 quoting case number 161219/1448. Information can also be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
