Canterbury Police thank the public for their help in solving rural burglary in Waimakariri

1 min read

Canterbury Police have charged a local man following a public appeal to locate a  Kawasaki Mule quad bike which was stolen from a Rangiora security company’s yard on 7 April 2015.  The bike, who’s owner lives in Wellington, was valued at $5,700.

The information received from local community resulted in Police executing a search warrant at a Rangiora address yesterday (14 April 2015).  A number of items were seized including the quad bike, a generator and car which had all been reported as stolen within the last week.

A 19 year old man from Rangiora is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on 20 April 2015 charged with two counts of burglary, the unlawful take of a motor vehicle and cultivating cannabis.

Canterbury Police would like to thank the Waimakariri community for their help and support.
