Christchurch Police need your help in locating Richard Hinkley who has been missing for three months.

Christchurch Police need your help in locating Richard Hinkley. His family hasn't heard from for three months since they last spoke with him in December 2015 and have concerns for his wellbeing.

Richard, who is 49 years old, was last seen at Kiwibank in Edgeware on 12 December 2015 wearing dark pants, a black t-shirt with a large white pattern on the front and a blue peaked cap with a dark blue logo on the front.

"We are building a picture of what may have happened to Richard and liaising with his family who have become increasingly concerned for his welfare," says Detective Sergeant Michael Freeman.

Richard is 184cm tall, of a solid build with a shaved head. He generally wears a beanie or hat.

Police are wanting to hear from anyone with information about the whereabouts of Richard Hinkley and ask them to contact Detective Sergeant Michael Freeman on 021 191 1622.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
