Counties Manukau Police have concerns for the wellbeing of a 24 year-old woman who left her Manurewa home yesterday morning and hasn't returned.

Rowarne Spackman (image attached) left her residential caregivers home on Saturday 27 October in a distressed state, with no money, shoes or medication. Rowarne has Aspergers Syndrome.

A caregiver spoke to her briefly via cellphone this afternoon and there is a possibility that she may have hitchhiked to Christchurch.

Police, Rowarne's family and her caregivers are worried about her and would like to speak to her as soon as possible.

Anyone who may have seen Rowarne is asked to contact the Counties Manukau Police on 09 261 1300.
