At 10.54pm on Monday 28th August 2017, Police were advised of a vehicle crash on State Highway 57 between Shannon and Levin.
Police, Ambulance and Fire Service all attended.
It is a serious crash, and as a result State Highway 57 between Shannon and Levin is closed with diversions in place.
The road will be closed for several hours, but will be open for traffic at approximately 4am.
The Central District Police Serious Crash Unit is assisting in the investigation.
