Eight arrested after crack down on drug dealing in Counties Manukau

Counties Manukau Police have arrested eight people today following an Operation targeting the Tribesmen and killer Beez gangs.

Police searched eight residential addresses locating cannabis, methamphetamine, and cash.

The eight arrested face a number of charges including the supply and sale of drugs.

Those arrested are aged between 24 and 62.

Police also located a large amount of stolen property including chainsaws, high priced mountain bikes, clothing, and electronic goods. Enquiries are continuing to identify the owners of this property and further charges are likely to be laid as a result.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin Tiernan says the latest raid is part of continuing efforts by the Counties Manukau CIB to combat drug-relating offending in the area.

“The effect of drugs in the community is devastating and Police will take swift actions to hold those offenders to account who try to spread harm through supplying and selling illicit drugs.“

“We need your help to keep our community safe are keen to hear from anyone who has information about stolen property and drugs. Anyone wanting to share information with Police can do so confidentially by contacting their local Police station, or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
