Elderly pedestrian hit by a car in Manurewa

Police are investigating a serious crash where an 86-year-old woman was struck by a car while crossing Russell Road in Manurewa.

The elderly woman was crossing the road at around midday today (18 June 2015) at a pedestrian crossing when the accident happened.

The car stopped and the driver is assisting with enquiries but Police would like to speak with anybody who witnessed the crash.

The woman is in a serious condition in hospital.
