Police are trying to locate an elderly West Coast man who has not been seen since 2pm on Friday.
Rowan KERR, aged 78, had indicated he wanted to travel from Kumara to Christchurch to see a family member. He is believed to have headed off in a grey coloured 1998 Holden Gemini car, registration NN7721. He has not arrived in Christchurch.
He is described as very thin and usually wears a brown beanie and jacket.
Mr KERR is suffering the early stages of dementia and Police and his family have concerns for his welfare.
Anyone who has seen Mr KERR or his car is asked to call Greymouth Police Ph 768 1600.
