One person has died following a serious crash in Whangara this evening.
Emergency services were called to a two vehicle crash on State Highway 35 at around 6.05pm.
Sadly, one person was located deceased at the scene.
One person received serious injuries and another two people received moderate injuries, they have been transported to hospital.
The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducts a scene examination.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
