One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in South Head this afternoon.
Initial indications are that a vehicle was seen travelling along Tarawera Road in excess of the speed limit.
Police then came across the vehicle after it crashed at the intersection of South Head Road and Evans Road at around 12.20pm.
One person was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two people were transported to hospital in a critical condition and a third person received moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
