At around 10.45am this morning, emergency services were called to a Tokoroa address in relation to the fire.
After police arrived, and the fire was under control, a male was located deceased in the garage.
Police are still investigating the incident, however initial inquiries have indicated there is no suspicious circumstances to the fire or the male’s death.
Police will not be in a position to release a name until formal identification has been completed and the family of the male has been advised.
