At about 12:15 pm today Police were called to an incident at a residential address on Forbury Road, Dunedin.
Members of the Public reported a violent altercation between a male and two females. As a result the two females required medical treatment at Dunedin Public Hospital.
The male was also treated at the scene by St Johns Ambulance staff for a minor injury.
He will appear in the Dunedin District Court on Monday 21 December 2015 on assault charges.
Enquiries are continuing into this incident and further charges are likely.
