Gisborne Police appeal for sightings of stolen car

Gisborne Police are investigating after a man assaulted a woman in her home and stole her vehicle. 
 
The man entered the woman's home at around 11.30pm on Friday 7 September.  
 
He assaulted the woman before stealing her car. 
 
The woman was not injured, but Police are concerned about the nature of this offending and are asking for the public's assistance to identify the man involved. 
 
The man, who was not known to the woman, is described as being in his early 20s and approximately 5 foot 7. 
 
The car is a 2011 blue Mazda 6 sedan, registration GCQ637.
