Hamilton Police are appealing for the assistance of the public in relation to an incident at the Ellicott Road Dairy, this afternoon, 22 July at about 1.20pm.

A man entered the store and has approached the counter with his face partially covered, carrying a black handled kitchen knife.

He has struck the blade of the knife onto the counter twice, directly in front of the attending staff member.

The offender is described as Maori or pacific islander, 5ft 6in tall, solid to fat build, wearing distinctive clothing as shown in the photos attached.

Does anyone recognise who this is?  If this is you, you will need to come forward and speak to police as soon as possible.
