Hamilton Police investigate bank robbery

Hamilton Police are investigating the robbery of the ASB Bank located in the Base Shopping Centre.   At around 12.25pm today, a man entered the bank, disguised with a black wig and black-rimmed glasses.   He presented a teller with a note advising he had a pistol and demanded a sum of cash, while threatening both the teller and others in the bank.   The man took a sum of cash before leaving the bank and departing in a blue Chevrolet Blazer 4WD.   He is described as Caucasian with an athletic build.   Anyone with information on the man, or the car used in the robbery (pictured), please contact Det Sgt Scott Neilson at Hamilton Police on 07 858 6200.   Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.   ENDS   Issued by Police Media Centre.
