Hamilton Police seek light blue saloon car

1 min read

Hamilton Police are seeking assistance from the public for sightings of a light blue coloured saloon car.

The car was parked in the Aberdeen Drive, Dinsdale area at about 7.50am this morning.

A man from the vehicle allegedly approached a teenage girl walking to school and attempted to get her into the vehicle with him.

The girl was unharmed but Detective Rene Rakete of Hamilton CIB says the man’s behaviour is concerning:

“Parents and students alike should be vigilant and report any unusual behaviour directly to Police.

“This includes any incidences of young people being offered a ride by unknown individuals.

“The girl made her way to her school straight after the incident and immediately reported the matter.”

Anyone who has sighted the car or who has any information on the incident should contact Detective Rakete at the Hamilton Police Station on 07 858 6200.

Alternatively, information may be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
