Information about robbers needed

1 min read

Police want to hear from shoppers who were anywhere near Countdown at the Sylvia Park shopping centre at about 6.30pm on Friday December 4.

It was there and then that four men, one of whom presented a firearm, robbed Armourguard van staff.

They left in a stolen car - a silver Toyota Ipsum with stolen registration plates HNN523 - that was dumped a short time later in Mt Wellington's Fisher Crescent.

The four men were described by witnesses as solidly built Polynesians who were wearing flouro vests, gloves, dark pants and who were each about 6 foot tall.

If you or someone you know has information that might help the Glen Innes Police track these offenders down, call or text Detective Sergeant David Paea on 021 191 0423. Anonymous information can go to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
