A number of people have come forward with information following yesterday's appeal for sightings of missing man Timothy Gary DONALD.

Police have now established that Mr DONALD spent the weekend in Golden Bay, however it is not known if he is still in that area.

Mr DONALD was last heard from at about 9.00am on 15 October when he sent a text message to his employer to say he was not coming to work. Police have concerns for his welfare.

Mr DONALD had been staying at a lodge in Kaiteriteri, having moved to the Tasman area recently from Queenstown.

He is described as European, 185cm in height and of a medium build.  He is 32 years of age and has light brown hair.  It is not known what clothing he is wearing.

He is driving a silver Mitsubishi SE Saloon registration YX5539.

Detective John Nicholls of Motueka Police said he had received a number of calls from people who had recognised Mr DONALD or had contact with him in recent days.

"We know where he has been, but we are still to locate him so I would appreciate a call from anyone who sees him or his vehicle."

Anyone with information can contact their local Police Station or Detective John NICHOLLS of the Motueka Police Station on 03 528 1220 or 021 1915606.
