Lower Hutt Police are seeking information from the public following the robbery of the Epuni Mini Market on Sunday 31 December 2017.

Three alleged offenders entered the store on Oxford Terrace, Lower Hutt at 6pm and threatened the store attendant, demanding the till be opened.

Two of the men were wearing rubber masks while the other man’s face was partially hidden by clothing.

One of the men jumped the counter and removed the till drawers. One of the alleged offenders has continued to threaten the store attendant while money was being taken from the till.

After taking the money the alleged offenders have fled on foot from the store.

Witnesses have described seeing four men running from the store. Police believe the fourth male took the role of a “look out” and waited outside the store while the robbery took place.

The four men were seen to run under the rail subway onto Cambridge Terrace and get into an awaiting white four door saloon vehicle, and were last seen travelling north on Cambridge Terrace. Police believe a fifth person maybe involved and took the role as driver of the fleeing vehicle.

The victims of this robbery are extremely traumatised and are eager for the men responsible to be apprehended by Police.

Anyone with information in relation to this violent offence can contact the Hutt Valley Police on 5602600 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
