Invercargill Police seeking vehicle in relation to Nichol Street incident

Invercargill Police are seeking a vehicle, similar to the one pictured, in relation to an incident in Nichol Street early yesterday morning.

The incident saw a male assaulted in his home before being taken from the address by two males in a vehicle. The victim was dumped from the car near Tisbury and later taken to hospital for moderate injuries.

Police are still investigating what happened, but would like help from the public with any sightings of a 1995 green Nissan Bluebird saloon, registration TE9173, which looks similar to the vehicle pictured. It is possible this vehicle may have been abandoned somewhere in the Invercargill or wider Southland region.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Invercargill Police on 03 211 0400. Alternatively, information can be provided through the organisation Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
