Investigations continue after search warrants executed in Bryndwr and Sydenham

Canterbury Police executed two planned search warrants at addresses in Bryndwr and Sydenham this morning as part of an ongoing firearms inquiry.

Cordons were established in the surrounding area while Canterbury Police AOS cleared the addresses.  The cordons were stood down a short time later and roads reopened while Canterbury Police Specialist Search completed a search of the properties.

No firearms were located but the occupants of both addresses have co-operated fully with Police.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Cottam said "the investigation is continuing and any further comment may affect our ongoing inquiries."
