1 min read

Canterbury Police investigations are continuing into the death of a 3½ month old baby boy at the end of August 2014.

Canterbury Police Crime Services Manager, Acting Detective Superintendent Tom Fitzgerald, says “The death of a 3½ month old baby is a very tragic and sensitive case.  To investigate this type of incident requires the highest level of investigative experience and knowledge.”

“Decisions whether or not to release information regarding an active case are based on achieving the best outcome for the victim and minimising the impact on the victim’s family.  The investigation into this incident is on-going and Police will do all they can to establish what happened to the 3½ month old baby” he explains.

Police will not be making any further comment regarding this on-going investigation.
