Canterbury Police are hosting as many of their fostered Police puppies as possible on Wednesday 18 December 2019 at 9.30am at Te Omeka, Justice and Emergency Services Precinct, Christchurch.
Officer in Charge of Police Dog Base, Senior Sergeant Kerei Gray says, “This is an opportunity for the foster carers and their puppies to meet up and socialise before Christmas. It’s also a chance for us to publicly highlight the amazing work of our puppy breeding and local foster programme.”
The Police Dog Section, much like Police hooman recruitment needs to be nurtured and maintained, so we can sustain the pool of dogs that we train to provide operational support to their colleagues,” says Kerei.
Media will be able to visit and view the puppies and there might...just might, be a photo op or two.
