Rings taken in the burglary

Bay of Plenty Police are investigating the burglary of a house, from which jewellery of significant sentimental value was taken.

A camera, shoes, alcohol, and an Apple laptop were also taken from the address on Papamoa Beach Road, Papamoa East today.

Local Police consider the burglary to be brazen as the person responsible got into the house through a window on the front side of the property.

The burglar would have been visible from the road when the offence took place between 10am and 11am, when the occupier had left the address for just one hour.

If anyone has any information about this offence or the whereabouts of the rings, Papamoa Police would like to hear from you on 07 348 0099.

Any information provided will be greatly received and treated as confidential.

Information can also be forwarded through Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
