Methamphetamine and firearms found at Tangiwai address

Police from Taihape and Ohakune this morning executed a search warrant at a rural address in Tangiwai, near Waiouru.
 
Located at the address was 22 grams of methamphetamine, over $7,000 in cash and two firearms.  
 
A 29-year-old woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for supply, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
 
She is due to appear in the Whanganui District Court on 4 May 2018. 
 
A 31-year-old man was also arrested and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
 
He is due to appear in the Taihape District Court on 8 May 2018.
