Police can now name the woman who died following yesterday’s shooting at a property on Otewa Road in Otorohanga.
She was 50-year-old Leigh Kauhoe Wallace.
Our thoughts are with her family at this time.
The 57-year-old man remains in Waikato Hospital in a stable condition.
A homicide investigation has been launched and Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
The scene examination continues.
Police would like to thank members of the community and the woman’s family for their cooperation so far.
