Police can now release the name of the man killed in a crash on State Highway 35 north of Gisborne on Saturday 16 June.
He was Col Tame Oronsay Smiler, 19, from Gisborne.
Police’s thoughts are with his whānau and friends.
The crash remains under investigation by the Serious Crash Unit.
