Police service update

At 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March 2020, New Zealand moved to COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

This means New Zealanders not working in essential services must stay at home and stop all interactions with others outside of their household.

During this time Police will continue to provide essential policing services.

Name release - Mangakino crash

Police can now release the name of the person who died following a crash near Mangakino about 6.20pm on Saturday 6 July. 
She was 17-year-old Ziyi Cheng. 
Ms Cheng was originally from China but had been living in Auckland. 
Police have been liaising with the Chinese Consulate and send their deepest sympathies to her family.
